Race Across America (RAAM), is an annual ultra-distance cycling race that has been held since 1982, running from the west coast to the east coast of the United States. The route is approximately 4,800 km long and the race typically lasts about a week. Unlike traditional stage races like the Tour de France, RAAM is a continuous race with no designated stages — riders race non-stop and decide for themselves when to rest and eat.
